A unique way to live in Amsterdam
Looking for a unique way to live in one of the greatest cities in the world? We got just the right thing for you: our lovely long term houseboat rental ‘Arden’. Perfectly suitable for a couple, two students or expats. Let us tell you something more about this charming houseboat.
Dutch Design
The boat, designed by the Rotterdam based architects of Sprikk, offers a distinctive combination of retro vintage elements such as a curved ceiling and wooden walls with modern luxury. This was quite a challenge, but we succeeded. Therefore you can watch the flatscreen tv (70 channels+) from a genuine chair of Gerrit Rietveld, one of the most famous Dutch furniture designers, and have a dinner at the vintage table of Holland’s design master Louis van Teeffelen whilst listening to your own music plugged in at the docking station.
Bathroom and bedrooms
The exceptional bathroom is close to a spa. The bath, half sunk in the floor, and rain shower give view on the porthole which looks out over the canal- one of the preserved details of this nearly 60-year old houseboat. Not only the Italian tiles and design taps, but also the sheer size of the bathroom contributes to the ultimate bathing experience.
The Arden sleeps 6 people. It has two separate bedrooms with high standard quality beds that can be used either as a twin or a double bed. Using the indoor curtains and comfortable sofa bed, a third private bedroom can be created. All rooms have water view and are provided with WiFi and cable connection for the best internet reception possible.
Fully equipped kitchen
The kitchen is designed for your convenience. The stylish white, minimal design covers a complete range of all the necessary utilities: electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, oven and a washing machine with dryer.
The drawers are fully stocked with all you can think of in order to make a complete diner for your family or friends.
We have made sure even that the most experienced chef cook will feel at home. And if you don’t feel like cooking, rest assured, you are surrounded by some of the best restaurants in town.
To the best of our knowledge and ability, we simply did everything, and continue to do so, to make you feel at home in our gorgeous part of Amsterdam!

And yet must-sees such as the Dam Square, Vondelpark, Anne Frank House, Westerkerk and the Leidse Square are located at walking distance!
